Since March 2026, Shopify lists your products in ChatGPT by default (source). Mr. AEO fills in the product fields AI shopping assistants read, using only your own store data, biggest gaps first. You approve each change.

What it does
- Checks your product data. Finds the gaps in the fields Shopify's Catalog guidance names: category, product type, tags, option names, barcodes and descriptions.
- Writes the fixes. Drafts each fix from your own store data and shows where every fact came from. If it can't find a fact in your store, it says so instead of guessing.
- Keeps you in control. Nothing changes on your store until you approve it. Every change is logged, and you can undo any of them.
How to get started
Mr. AEO is in beta. Install from the Shopify App Store when it's listed, or join the beta and we'll send you an install link. After you install, open Mr. AEO from your Shopify admin, under Apps.
